Mr. Janaprit Fernando of Colombo and his wife and children, once visited the home and provided a Pasta and chicken dinner for the children. They re-visited the Home with few members of the church they attend in Colombo called “The Living Way Church Four Square Gospel of Sri Lanka” Battaramulla. Upon my request, they raised Rs.300,000 to restore the sagging interior roof structure and replace the ceiling. With this money, we managed to attend to the roof iron works, the new ceiling, applied wood preservative to the ceiling, 3 new windows on the right, varnished all the pews, painted the walls etc.
The work was completed this week. We had a Thanks giving prayer and blessing at 3 p.m today. Rev. Hashan de Mel of Holy Trinity Church where our children worship and attend Sunday School assisted by Pastor David Paul of “Smyrna Mission Church” and AOG Pastor Satheesh’s representative Pastor Munaweera.
